I am alive.

I haven't been in the mood to blog for awhile. I guess I'm a fair weather blogger. Things have been grievous around here. I'm not depressed or anything, just sad because of the choices of my children. As I blogged about before, Annika is moved out. Valarie aka "THE TEENAGER" has only 5 months till she is 18 and then she will probably be moving out. Laura, my daughter-in-law, will be moving in within the next couple of weeks with my grandchildren. Daniel has to have a job before he can move in with them here. I won't share the reasons he has to have a job before we will let him live here, but I'll just say it needs to be that way. Pray for my son. Pray for my daughters, pray for my other sons! God needs to call them, the Holy Spirit needs to bring them to conviction of sin and repentance and a desire to follow Jesus.

On a lighter note, we celebrated my nephew Jack (soon to be born) and my sister Debbie (Jack's momma) with a baby shower! My sister Shellee pretty much planned the whole thing and all the "Martin girls" helped, as did Genevieve. My mom bought and made most of the food. We had Greek dips and crackers and baklava instead of a cake it was very good. I have lots of pictures to share. Here they are...
See, I live and I can face tomorrow because Jesus LIVES!!

Tierra and Debbie and Jack in the belly

I don't know why this turned sideways but these are lavender filled strawberries I made for Deb. They have pigs on them because Debbie loves pigs.

Baby shower decorations.

Lots of presents....

Shellee did ALL the games! Thank you Shellee you are such a blessing. You are a great party planner and entertainer!

Juli gave Debbie these underwear she got from the hospital. I guess they are really comfortable and hold the pad in nicely after having a baby. They are sooo UGLY though!

Lot's of cute clothes...

Tierra helping her Momma

Debbie said she needed LOTS of socks. She got them from Laura. Laura gave her three bags of 0-3 month clothes which Debbie also needed. Laura dresses her boys very nice too.

Jeremy's sister Jenny made Debbie all these crochet items they are very cute!

From Jenny.
From Jenny. She put Jack's name on the hat!!

Julia made these cupcakes for the shower, too. Natti loved them.

Little peas in a pod baby book.

A grizzly bear sweat shirt for the little mountain boy.

Tierra is a big help to Debbie.

Cute shoes.

More cuteness.

Do you feel like you are at the baby shower yet? There are still more great gifts!

Little lion.

Reading more cards.

My mom made Debbie tons of stuff. We all loved the burp cloths!

The blanket is soo soft too.

This is a pile of the receiving blankets on Debbie's lap that my mom made.

Looks like she liked this outfit!

Jack won't need anything when he is born!

My mom who worked hard making the gifts for Debbie and the food.

Genevieve holding Maggie, Heather, and Rae Ann.

From left to right, Jacky Debbie's mother in law, Jenny Debbie's sister in law, Amy Debbie's friend and her daughter Darla who is Tierra's good friend.

People talking and eating.

The swing Debbie wanted ... she got!

A very happy momma

This is another wonderful thing my mom made. It is a nursing cover. She made Julia one, too.

Now we are all just waiting to meet little "Jack Jack"!
