Leah really loves Gracie

Our good friend Walter Cuadra holding Grace

Mommy gets to hold Gracie a little too!

Relaxing at the picnic. We do this every Sunday at our church.

I did it!

I made a cloth diaper that WORKS!!!
I used the Goodness Gracious fitted diaper free pattern. You can get it here:
http://goodnessgraciousdiaper.wordpress.com/2008/01/30/11/
It's kind of small and I did the elastic too tight, but, IT WORKS!!
I used Strawberry Shortcake flannel and I sewed a six layer soaker into the diaper.

I used an old t-shirt of Loy's for 4 of the layers and the flannel for the other 2. The diaper worked great! Maybe I'll get better and better with each try! This one was definitely better than the cover I made! Look here:

To see the cover I made.

you can see how tight the legs are

We only used it a few times. It was fun to make and very cute!

1st ZOO trip

We went to the ZOO!!!
Our first zoo trip was WONDERFUL!
The weather was nice and cool,
all the animals were out, and best of all
we enjoyed a personal tour from our friend
Jason Vanderpool who knows so much
about creation and the theory of evolution.
We spent the whole day at the zoo and saw
everything. We even saw the new dino exhibit.
AND we had some elephant ears too, YUMMY!

Gracie excited to be at the Zoo!

LOVE this picture of Jason and Loy looking at the fish.

My sweet baby girl

We stopped to have lunch and watch the bird show...yes, we even saw the bird show! Jason and Gracie

Me, Grace, Loy and the lions.

First Zoo trip EVER!

I'm sure we will have many Zoo trips in the future.

The huge crocs

Very cute little duiker

Snoozin' seal with fur (otherwise known as a polar bear)
Polar bears have dark skin like a seal.
Beautiful eagle

The lion was OUT!

We almost got eaten by this dino

YIKES!

These sweet baby birds were just by a light on the ceiling

Jason, me, Loy, and Grace
What a great day!
Thank you Jason!

What is he doing to that fish?

What's that? "Guts" you say?
